DESCRIPTION:LEER EN EUSKERA\n					 \nLos robots submarinos pueden jugar un papel esencial en el despliegue de las energías renovables marinas con diferentes aplicaciones: \n  \nEn la planificación de parques de renovables offshore: \n1.- Caracterización del fondo marino\, durante la etapa de diseño del proyecto. Selección de zonas de anclaje en perforación de roca \nEn el mantenimiento de los parques:​ \n2.- Inspección periódica de las estructuras sumergidas\, para comprobar su integridad. Revisión del fondo sedimentario tras eventos climáticos excepcionales (inundaciones\, grandes tormentas)​ \n3.- Eliminación de biofouling de estructuras sumergidas \n  \nPara ello\, existen múltiples retos aun por resolver. The videos of the approved works will be visible in the JRL-ORE youtube channel prior to the event and interested researchers\, students or industry partners will have the opportunity to schedule short talks with the authors about the work presented. The Programme Committee will award a prize for the best work. \nAll the videos will be promoted and accesible at the event\, and some of them will be selected to be projected during the conference. \nThe videos must be sent in .mp4 or .avi. The design\, information and audio is free. Get your creativity out! The language of the works is English. SUMMARY:MATHEO - Smart Mathematics for Offshore Wind - Webinars
DESCRIPTION:The JRL-ORE will host three free webinars in October that cover interesting research fields in the physical knowledge and mathematical model of offshore wind: \n\n\n\nComputational and experimental analysis of the overtopping on structures for offshore renewables.\nThe overtopping effect on offshore structures will be described\, followed by an explanation of numerical modelling. The team will provide details about the analytical and experimental validation of the models. \nLecturers: TECNALIA\, Department of Nuclear Engineering and Fluid Mechanics of the UPV/EHUDate: October 2nd\, 11am to 12pm\nModelling and simulation of sediment material for offshore wind energy applications.\nDescription of the seabed complexity in terms of sediment types and SPH modelling; application of the numerical models to the interaction of drag embedded anchors with the seabed for floating wind. \nLecturers: TECNALIA\, Department of Geodynamics of the UPV/EHU\, BCAM\, Department of Nuclear Engineering and Fluid Mechanics of the UPV/EHUDate: October 16th\, 11am to 12pm\nChallenges of applying deep neural networks to the offshore wind energy sector.\nDescription of the fundamentals of neural networks and application of deep learning techniques to the structural health monitoring -SHM- for the O&M cost reduction in offshore wind. \nLecturers: TECNALIA\, Department of Applied Mathematics\, Statistics and Operations Research of the UPV/EHU\, BCAMDate: October 30th\, 11am to 12pm\n\n\n\n\nThe webinars will have one hour of duration and will be conducted in Spanish. They are aimed at transferring scientific knowledge to industrial companies working on offshore wind\, but they are open to researchers and engineers interested in these topics. Registration for the webinars will open in September. \n\n\n\n\n\n            \n\n\n\n\n\n            \n\n\n\n\n\nThese webinars are part of the dissemination activities of the MATHEO project. MATHEO is a research project funded by the Basque Government under the Elkartek programme with the participation of TECNALIA\, BCAM\, and three departments of UPV/EHU\, to advance in the physical knowledge and in the mathematical modelling of offshore wind\, including the following research lines: \n\n\n\n\n\n\nDevelopment of Lagrangian SPH approaches for modelling the non-Newtonian fluid at the seabed\, and\, investigate the interaction with piles and anchors and improve the future designs\, validated experimentally in a wave flume.\nDevelopment and training of algorithms based on data-driven Deep Learning approaches for early-damage detection of critical structural failures\, optimal sensoring\, estimation of remaining life and future redesign of components.\nEmpirical modelling of non-linear phenomena occurring at the splash zone: overtopping\, biofouling and corrosion.\nFinite element modelling of fracture and extension to novel materials\, as for example fibre reinforced concrete.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n            \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n            \n\n\n\n\n\n            \n\n\n\n\n\n            \n\n\n\n\n\n            \n\n\n\n\n\n            \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nXII Marine Energy Conference & Wave Energy Sectoral Forum was last modified:  June 2nd\, 2026 by
