The Group of Structural Geology of the Department of Geodynamics of the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) has joined the JRL-ORE.

They develop research in marine geology and have a broad experience in geological cartograpy of the continental shelf. In fact, they have a collaboration agreement with the Basque Energy Agency (EVE) for the study of the marine geology of the Basque Country at a scale of 1: 25,000, of the sector between 0 and 100 m deep.
This is a pioneer work in the Atlantic area of the Iberian Peninsula and places the Group of Structural Geology of the UPV / EHU at the forefront in the research of marine geology and its integration with continental geology.

They are part of the MATHEO team, bringing their experience in the study of the structure and mechanical properties of rocks and developing a line of research focused on the study of the geomechanical properties of the marine substratum and their influence on the design and installation of offshore wind structures.

Our team, experience and knowledge in offshore renewables continues to grow.
