TWIND is organising an online summer school on Offshore Wind Energy (OWE), focusing on floating turbines, from 5th July to 9th July, 2021. The virtual summer school will cover a variety of topics on OWE with invited keynote lectures and presentation on ongoing research work at the consortium and associated member organisations.
Topics for the summer school:
– Hydrodynamics
– Aerodynamics
– Control systems
– Electrical systems
– Energy storage
– Data-driven modelling
– Experimental methods
– Operations and maintenance
– Offshore wind potential
– Project management

TWIND is a European Commission Horizon 2020 funded project whose main aim is to create a network of excellence that will dynamize a pool of specialized research professionals and trainees in the domain of offshore wind energy to support an emerging industry in Portugal in a field with a very strong anticipated growth and no dedicated existing training curriculum.
As part of the TWIND conssortium, TECNALIA will have several lectures with our latest research.
